, and here are the cold numbers. santa rosa is 26 and fairfield at 24, 27 if livermore and morgan hill and the numbers are 5- to 10-degrees colder than yesterday morning. we are looking at coldest numbers after sunrise at least three hours from now where the numbers could drop further. from the 20's and 30's to the 40's by noon, upper 40's to near 50 for highs and we will have a winter mix for you tomorrow with details coming up. >> we have frost advisory for roads, but, first, we take you over to the sfo area with the crash headed along northbound direction along 101 you will find this accident mostly debris not lanes and the rest of the cars are off to the side. the golden gate bridge and cartinez and san mateo has frost advisories. be came. it is slippery. eight minutes away from sausalito to san francisco along the bay bridge and san mateo bridge takes you 13 minutes from hayward to foster city. the cold nap is a big shock to people in the south bay who used to mild weather and many have been preparing for the freezing temperatures. our reporter is if san jose with the news. >> a l

lopez in santa rosa in october. a sheriff's deputy shot the teenager several times after mistaking his toy gun for a real assault rifle. the task force expected to create an independent citizens review board that would examine all police shootings in the county. congress meantime is moving to renew a 25-year-old ban on guns that could evade metal detectors and x-ray machines. the many democrats wanted tougher restrictions to require permanent metal components that would make plastic guns more detectable. the republican led house is expected to approve a 10-year extension of the ban that exists right now. democrats will probably support it figuring that's the best they can get. >>> 9-1-1 phone calls made during the sandy hook elementary school shooting rampage will be released tomorrow. connecticut state attorney had been fighting against releasing those recordings saying the recordings of severyn seven calls made from inside the school would be painful for the victims families. now he says he won't challenge a judge's decision to make the calls public. last december a gunman shot and k

soon. overnight lows for tomorrow morning. 28 in santa rosa. 29 in fairfield. these numbers could dip even further out in the valley. upper 20s, low 30s. oakland 39 degrees. not 28, but 39 degrees in an urban area is a big deal. you have lots of issues when you get that kind of cold in the urban center. that's what we are going to see. temperatures will not just be cold at night but during the day as well. daytime highs in the low 50s and ier 40s into wednesday and thursday. that will be very noticeable. tomorrow, 49 in napa. that is a daytime high. daytime high in pleasanton. daytime high in livermore. temperatures, most of us will be in the upper 40s, low 50s. freeze warning tomorrow morning for the north bit. late tonight, early tomorrow morning. freeze warning wednesday night into thursday morning for the rest of the bay area excluding san francisco. what happens here, p we will talk about this more, but friday we have a chance for some showers. we see some significantly low snow levels with this. that's going to warm us up a little bit. we'll look forward for the chance of rain.
in santa rosa with more on the efforts to honor the teen. good morning. >> supervisors are talking about a number of steps they can take in the wake of the shooting. one of them being renaming or naming a park after andy lopez, a memorial park. the supervisors will vote on it a little later this morning, but we did have a chance to speak with the one supervisor outside who said that that area of the neighborhood is already underserved and certainly needs a park or activity so young people can be there. at moreland avenue which is basically now a -- where neighborhoods have put slides and they've put a christmas tree out there. this is where andy lopez grew up in the neighborhood where she was shot by sheriff's deputy eric gahas in october. he recordly took the replica gun he was carrying as the real assault weapon. he says he told lopez to drop it. the aftermath that sparked a series of marches and rallies and the supervisors are discussing replica weapons control, also possibly creating a community law enforcement task force. law enforcement training. many believe that the park, that ma

that dealt with these 20s this morning like in santa rosa, alamo, pleasanton and it's going to get even colder as we head through tomorrow and even san francisco zoo down there for those animals to 35 degrees this morning. let's look at some of the worst chill that we did have. that was here in napa with just a wind five to ten miles per hour and made temperatures feel like 24 degrees this morning. definitely some of the coldest weather we have been mentioning in nine months. let's take you outside right now and unbelievable. what we're dealing with for these averages in the north bay. right now 38 degrees and san francisco 49 and also the peninsula at 47. let's take you into san francisco and we'll be near record-setting lows and 37 degrees expected with clear skies and by 1:00 p.m. and temperatures at 51 degrees. get some warming in there but jacket weather, again, for tomorrow. you'll also see here across the peninsula, a colder start for you, as well. temperatures near 30 degrees across palo alto. so, hopefully, you've got some sort of great deal on a jacket on black friday because
